Designed an inviting and sustainable outdoor environment for a small shopping center in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles. The project featured a central plaza with space for restaurant seating, built in gabion benches, and decorative paving to encourage pedestrian activity and social gathering. A California friendly planting palette, including drought tolerant succulents, ornamental grasses and waterwise shrubs, was used to enhance visual appeal while reducing water use. The overall design emphasized drought tolerance, low maintenance, and a functional outdoor experience for both customers and tenants.
